Colin Powell has morphed into nothing more than just another leftist d**khead.....
"The Republican Party is in deep trouble," Powell told corporate security executives at a conference in Washington sponsored by Fortify Software Inc. The party must realize that the country has changed, he said. "Americans do want to pay taxes for services," he said. "Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less."Here. So let me get this right. Government is providing what services? Are they the most effective or efficient service providers? I seriously doubt that this can reasonably be supported. Or are they promising services and arguing that people do not have to pay for them, that faceless "wealthy" people will pay for them? This is just another argument to layer on more debilitating middle-class handouts.
Some argue that over time it all works out so that those that pay get some benefit later and that their payment benefits someone today. If this is the case, that it is all a wash over time, then why do all of this silly taxation and delivery of services at all? Wouldn't it be better that instead of paying taxes for these services that we pay for the services ourselves directly? Spineless Democrats and d**kheads like Colin Powell and his mamby pamby centrist gobbly gook can just go screw themselves. I would prefer to be in deep trouble and stand on principle than to socialize the nation to regain power. Why have power in nation that is worthless and stands for nothing?
Furthermore, Colin 'the d**khead" Powell, also argued that some people like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter should shutup...
He blasted radio commentator Rush Limbaugh, saying he does not believe that Limbaugh or conservative icon Ann Coulter serve the party well. He said the party lacks a "positive" spokesperson. "I think what Rush does as an entertainer diminishes the party and intrudes or inserts into our public life a kind of nastiness that we would be better to do without," Powell said.Well, well, well. So the shrill left during the previous administration was not coarse? Remember Bush the chimp? CdhP, there is a big tent party that has sucked up to blacks for decades and that is the Democrats. If conservatives and the not-so-conservative Republican party are not left enough, then go to the Democrats. You can get handouts continuously there as long as the nation can continue to borrow money or tax the bejezzus out of people.
I will never move left just to meet the populace's desire for more and more handouts, now defined as 'services'. What I think that what I will do is just move out completely. Why be an American if it does not include the ideals and the time tested methods that made the country great?

What does Colin Powell know, anyway. He’s the nominal “Republican” that endorsed Obama, then re-assured us all that he was “qualified to be Commander-in-Chief” the week before the Russians caught Obama completely asleep-at-the-wheel and nabbed the Krgyzstani air-base that we use to fly-in most of our supplies to Afghanistan.
I don’t trust Powell an inch, he apparently feels guilty about promoting the Iraq war (but shouldn’t) and is trying to make amends.
Powell’s advice and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee at 7-11 (small). Who cares what he thinks, Obama's programs are a guaranteed fail- and that's all that matters in the end. There'll be no hiding the damage Obama is doing to the county in a year or two. I love how these critics of the GOP assume everything will just work out great with trillion dollar deficits and a pacifist foreign policy-
When their pork-n-welfare spending orgy fails to create any real economic gains -but stokes vicious inflation and crashes the dollar instead- the Democrats face a bloodbath in 2010.
Barack can kiss 2012 goodbye, no matter how hard he attacks the GOP and has the MSM plant BS stories and manufactured "scandals". His foreign policy is headed straight for an iceberg, as well.
Ironically, Powell and W did a lot of damage to the GOP brand... but Obama-Pelosi-Reid will be the ones to fix it all-up for us- already as good as done. Funny how life is.
