It amazes me that people would allow or even desire that our government take even more of their hard earned dollars to dole them out to people as these officials desire. Karl Marx would be very very proud.

Also, there is something else to keep in mind, this desire to transfer wealth is not to benefit the "poor" but typically is targeted at middle class voters. Its a get something for nothing mentality where these politicians sell that they can more effectively, efficiently and/or equitably deliver goods and services better than its done now by the private sector. Its ridiculous.

Just look at Social Security. Designed during the Depression in the 1930's to assist indigent elderly people that lost their life savings when banks where their savings were, collapsed, has been transformed into a gigantic wealth transfer payment system from working people to the most wealthy generational group in the world, or in the history of the world. In the meantime, this scheme promises to pay benefits to the people paying today that has a negative present value of around US$45 trillion. Anyone with half a brain knows that there is no way that benefits as they are being currently doled out to the fat and wealthy elderly in US today will be paid to the working people paying these taxes today. Thanks Democrats for all that you have done for us. But I don't need nor want your help and please do not promise assist someone else while requiring me to pay for it.
