John Stossel is an American treasure and everyone, even communist Democrats should read his common sense prognostications. Of course, since there has been nearly 80 years of government meddling in most everything, including bans on buying onions by 'speculators.' Americans over several generations have been inured to government intervention and meddling and have come to expect miracles from the soviet style central planners in Washington. However, unfortunately, government has failed miserably and promise to double down on bad policies of recent decades.

So, what happens if the dollar starts to collapse and this causes commodity prices to rise globally does the government do? It blames the people instead of looking to where the real problem is and that is right in our backyard, our very own Mordor, Washington DC.
