China's Stock Market Hits its Lowest Levels in Six Years....

The National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday that China's economy expanded 9.5 percent through the first quarter, exceeding a median forecast of 9.1 percent in a recent Reuters survey of 10 economists.

and the stock market there just can't go up. GDP over the past six years has probably doubled but the stock market is down!?!?!?! Either the stock market six years ago was wildly overvalued, or people just can't trust the stock market to give them returns commensurate with the risk. I think that it is probably the latter. With all the officials robbing the country blind and businesses running their operations to benefit the managers and the not the stockholders, why would anyone in their right mind invest in China's stock markets?
