What Concerns You The Most?

A recent poll of investment advisers asked what concerns them the most these days? If you think that these are the greatest concerns..... global unrest, U.S. economic growth, a terrorist attack and a recession.... Then you would be wrong. The biggest concern by these individuals issssss.......

Increasing taxes, particularly on dividends and capital gains, lowers the returns on capital and will cause general declines in the price of investment assets in the US.

And who is the worst? And the best?

a poll that Brinker conducted last summer in which 60% of advisers said that Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., would be the worst choice in terms of the economy and investing.

On the flip side of that poll, 36% of advisers said they thought that Republican presidential candidate Rudolph W. Giuliani would have the most positive effect on the U.S. economy and investing.

No surprise the Hillary would be a disaster for investors. Maybe that is why stock prices are falling now, since the uncertainty surrounding tax policy will cause people to reduce risk on the margin until prices decline to where the risk.reward trade off is less unfavorable.
