The Morons That Run China....

The morons that run China have basically shut down the internet so that there is no information on what is going on in Tibet avaiable to the population in general. Of course the rest of the world knows that bad things are going on there and are probably assuming the worst. Additionally, Wen has accused the Dali Lama of being behind the unrest. Really what is behind the unrest is that Tibetans are 3rd class citizens, the 2nd class citizens are the regular Chinese and the first class are the Chinese Communists and insdiers that get most of the economic benefits and goodies avaiable to the well connected.

As we head into the Beijing Olympics this summer, expect further unrest and also condemnation from the world of China on their dismal human rights. AS I read to day, here....

At the Olympics, the Maoists will be dealing with free people from free nations, and there is only so much they can do to control them. It's not clear they understand this. They've been living for decades in a bubble of unchallenged power, and are not very imaginative. The opportunities for embarrassment are endless, and the prospect of it very delicious to anyone who loves liberty. Personally, I hope their stinking Olympics is a huge fiasco, and I see encouraging signs it may be.

Well, we will see if this even registers in the US. Bush and his Dad have always been friends with the commies in the PRC and have choosen to engage rather than withdraw. Europeans, though, look at China as a big market of their products and lets see what becomes of any protest offered by nihilisitc Europeans.
