Never Forget....

Hurricanes, car crashes and other random disasters that lead to the unfortunate loss of life, are not the equivalent of what happened to us on September 11th 2001. On that date we were brutally attacked as the sister of one of the pilots that lost his life speaks to here....

The attacks were not a random act of violence or insanity. They were a deliberate and brutal act of war committed by religious fanatics engaged in Islamic jihad against the United States, all non-Muslim people and any Muslim who wishes to live in a secular society. Worse, the people who perpetrated the attacks have explicitly told us that they are not done.

These fanatics attacked the World Trade Center years earlier and people were relieved that only 6 people lost their lives. But 3,000 died years later and how many will lose their lives when these people attack again? And as the writer tries to communicate, it is not the body count that is important. It is the fact that these people exist and want to do us harm that is important.

Americans trust others. We have a positive outlook on life and seek to make not just only our lives better but also of those in other nations. However, some people seek to injure us. So, with determination we must and are actively meeting this threat head-on. Some think that it is worthwhile to try appease fanatics. But as we see from the previous 2 attacks in New York on the World Trade Center, this may not be plan that has any hope in succeeding. Why should these Muslim fanatics stray from their desire to attack the US?
