Socialism, 1930's style. The beginning of the problem. When government was asked to solve an economic problem, it tried back in the 1930's. Unfortunately, the effect was underwhelming and failed miserably as the nation suffered a decade of high unemployment before WWII pulled the world out of the malaise....
