I have to say, that I am disappointed in lots of local Hong Kong people and their tacit support of China aggression against Japan with the intent of taking over the useless islands contested. Worthless islands are worthless islands and its all about "face" and not about common sense.

Additionally, China is figuring that the USA does not have the stomach to stand up and this is both a stupid and understandable position. The current POTUS has proven to be dim witted when it comes to foreign relations. Europeans love this guy since they see in him the redistribution of wealth and socialism that they hold dear.

However, the rest of the world cannot take this dim witted ditherer seriously and this is where China's position gets dangerous. Figuring that POTUS will probably fold, the chances for further complications such as a strike back by Japan or some kind of provocation from North Korea, things could spiral out of control quickly if the Obamessiah is then forced to raise the ante and this becomes a broader conflict. I do not see this as winnable for any party and not worth fighting by any side.
