Did You Feel Happy Yesterday?

According to a British researcher, yesterday is the happiest day of the year from most people...
Feeling more happy than usual this particular Friday? You should be, according to a scholar in seasonal disorders at a British university.

Cliff Arnall has analysed such factors as outdoor activities, nature, social interaction, childhood memories, temperature and holidays -- data gathered over a period of 15 years in interviews with 3,000 people around the world.

His conclusion: June 23 is the happiest day of the year.
I wonder if that holds true for other people where the weather patterns are different? Maybe late June represents a period of good British weather where it is possible to get together for outdoor activities.

However, I recall going to a celebration on June 30th, 2000, thrown by the Lord [Montesqieu???] of a town down near the New Forest to celebrate the millennium. There was food, drinks and a fireworks display. No one was eating any icecream that day but there were lots of people lined up, all the time, at the booth selling coffee. It was spitting rain all day and the Temperature reached 8-9 degrees Celsius. Wow.
