Campaign For Liberty — The Disaster of Government-Run Businesses | by Jim Powell
This piece is a great idictment of the economic falure of socialism.
Government run businesses, whether they be companies that were nationalized or started due to the fantasy that they would be more efficient, more effective and/or more just, has been failures at achieving the goals that were initially set for these ventures. These companies have been nearly universally plagued by higher costs, lower efficiency and a need for taxpayer subsidies well beyond the economic value that these companies were supposed to generate.
One needs to consider that if one thinks that these government ventures are actually meeting some of these goals, then why not nationalize all businesses. What is the objective measure that meets the test that a government either needs to run a business or control it through regulation by law? I have yet to see these objective measures.

You do realize Campaign for Liberty was started by Ron Paul?
Good things come from good people.
The FEC is trying to shut them down. They say they are not allowed to publish how the people in Congress and the Senate are voting. They say that it is a violation of election rules and that it might ionfluence how you might vote.
I suppose that is the point, to inform people of where their representatives stand, but apparently they don't want people to know that.

If you believe that then post this, because they are trying to shut it down.
