Message from the Center for Disease control.....

Subject: CDC Warning

Information about Gonorrhea Lectem

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectem. It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect'em."

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.

It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectem is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Vote-em out. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.

Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia, New Jersey, and apparently now Massachusetts , with many more seeing the writing on the wall.

Please pass this important message on to all those bright folk you really care about to protect them against this dreaded disease.

China; housing bubble or going first world.......

Several big money managers and economists are concerned about the massive rise in real estate prices in China. In the case of Chanos, he is actively betting against the China real estate market by actively betting against China investments. We know what happens to economies where real estate problems impact the banking system like we saw in the United States from 2007 to present. So, just read the following excerpt from here and think about what is wrong about this statement.....
Hedge fund manager James Chanos is overly pessimistic about China’s property market because he underestimates government efforts to avoid a bubble, according to Fan Gang, a former People’s Bank of China adviser.

Chanos said this month that China is on a “treadmill to hell” because it’s hooked on property development for driving growth. “That statement is under the assumption that Chinese are stupid, Chinese will not do anything to deal with that,” Fan said in a Bloomberg Television interview recorded in Hong Kong yesterday.
Hmmmm. Chinese are stupid? I do not think that this is what Chanos is arguing at all that it is an issue of stupidity. And is their a tinge of racial pride embedded in this? There is an issue when there is a potential bubble forming and people bet against the fantastic rise in the price of this asset. So the argument is that they will deal with the 'bubble'?? Bubbles are by definition, unknowable and uncontrollable. However, as Fan thinks, argues and implies, the great leaders in China, the all-knowing sages will address the problem and come to a solution that is imposed by them. Why is it forming in the first place? Presumably this is all part of the brilliant great plan concocted by the leaders in Beijing. But this intervention is also a non-market solution to a market problem. There is a supply/demand imbalance between many things in China, not just housing, but investment and savings options for people and a raft of other things that are controlled by the state. The problem here is the assumption that these sages have the solutions and that can effectively execute these solutions.

Chanis is right to bet against the ability of governments to control market forces when markets may just be too big for them to easily control.

Can one just admit that the only thing that was desired by the passage of Obamacare was to have a fait accompli......

Oh sorry, we just do not have a clue what it will cost!!!! Yikes.

Now that the Obamacare package has passed, it will become such a gigantic mess, where perverse incentives will create huge dislocations which will require even more legislation. What the Marxists wanted to do was to create this fait accompli so that eventual complete socialization and takeover by the a bumbling federal government will be the only solution to the mess.

It is not worth being an American and embarrassing to see this train wreck as socialism slowly dismembers that nation.

Simple home remedies to everyday problems.....

1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

US debt levels expected to rise to between 200-500% of gdp......

Up from the current 60% of GDP. Much of the increase in debt comes from retirement and healthcare obligations promised by the government but unfunded and to only be paid for out of future tax revenues or taxes. Can someone say 'Ponzi scheme'.....
Argentina has a long history of deficit spending, which, in turn, has made government debt burdens so high that the government refuses to pay the debt to the private domestic and international debt holders. Over the next 30 years, economists associated with the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, estimate (as have many U.S. economists) that the U.S. public debt will rise to between 200 percent and 500 percent of GDP. (It is now about 60 percent.) Debt levels of 200 percent to 500 percent cannot be supported; hence, the debt holders will face erosion of their capital through either inflation or nonpayment.

The U.S. is not yet Argentina, but, if many of the policies of the Obama administration are not reversed, America will only get poorer and, in as little as 30 years, become a middle-income country, while dozens of other countries will enjoy a higher standard of living.
But there are other disturbing comparisons to failing states as written here.

South Park death threats......

Muslims get all excited about the recent South Park cartoon episode where the prophet Muhammad is depicted in a bear costume (presumably due to this problem where a teacher put the name Muhammad on a teddy bear in a children's classroom and was threatened with prosecution punishable by whipping and was sentenced to jail and deported for this heinous act) and have called for the death of the 2 cartoonists.

In addition to the tight and twitching sphincter muscles displayed by typically violent reactionary Muslim dimwits over the South Park Muhammad, the video tries to justify the murders of others that have 'defiled' Islam. What a weak religion if mere mortals can defile a religion and all powerful God that they worship.

These Muslims are nothing less than completely embarrassing to humanity. Additionally, Bill O'Reilly display a rare lack of fortitude in going halfway to appeasing these non-nonsensical Muslim fanatics.

As some may be aware, Iceland was one of the first nations to face severe financial problems during the recent global financial crisis. As a result, all of the nation's banks failed, the country's government failed and the currency was severely devalued.

So soon after the financial problems, there is now severe fires so that there is smoke and ash all over Europe from the fires in the nation's volcano. Maybe one has to consider that there may be some insurance fraud since it has now caught fire!!!!

A young man had just passed his driving test and asked his father if they could discuss his borrowing the car. His father said he'd make a deal.

"You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and we'll talk about the car."

The young man thought about that for a moment decided he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.

After about six weeks his father said, "Son, I'm really proud of you. You improved your grades and I've seen that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had a hair cut."

The young man paused a moment then said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair and there's even a strong argument that Jesus had long hair.

His father replied "Did you notice they all walked everywhere they went".

WaMu’s Main Regulator Failed to Spot Thrift’s Fraud (Update1) - Bloomberg.com

In this new era of new call for government oversight, everyone must be concerned that they will not be effective at the job. Government intervention in a purely market driven business is false security. As the collapse of WAMU points out, regulators were ineffective at controlling troublesome lending practices in the largest bank failure in American history. So what is the government going to do? Get better at what they have been doing for 75 years? It is truly the blind leading the blind.

Your future under government run healthcare......

Using the post office as the US model of government efficiency, one must wonder what decline in service or efficiency will be experienced under a government run healthcare system. One should wonder, since people do have other options these days to postal services, such as email or FedEx, what will happen when what health service that you need done just isn't convenient for the worker that is entrusted with dispatching that good or service....
So let's recap here: there are no stamps. At the post office. And they will not run the invitations through the machine, either.

Now, I have no idea whether this is regulation run amok, combined with Soviet-level distributional inefficiency; or whether she simply didn't feel like dealing with my wedding invitations, and started making up rules to force me to take my damn business elsewhere.
This a a whole new level of complexity to Ronald Reagan's famous quip, 'The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' because the problem is that government will not help at all but become an obstacle to getting what people want and need.
