The only questions are when and how. The options are asset confiscation, explicit default, surreptitious default (financial oppression), or conventional fiscal tightening.

The path that will be taken will not be one the minimizes the population's economic disruption but one that minimizes political pain.

The economic intervention of governments will end its just a question as to when not if.

Northeast progressive attack a business because its CHRISTIAN. This is not a ll surprising to me since wild eyed northeast Democrats, thinking themselves the beacon of tolerance, fight Christians and Christian values at every opportunity that they get. I find northeast liberals repulsive in their attitudes and have dressed themselves up in being the arbitrators of the new social order. A social order where wealth is redistributed, religion is not tolerated, alternative sexual lifestyles are elevated to absurd social status and conservative dissent is shut down. Sounds like communism to me...

As I reported last year, the Cathy family’s commitments to “glorify God” and “enrich the lives of everyone we touch” have made them public enemies of the progressive left. Never mind that the company’s community service initiatives have supported foster care, summer camp scholarships and marriage enrichment. Never mind Chick-fil-A’s family-strengthening and faith-enhancing decision to forgo profits and close every Sunday to give workers a day of worship and rest.

So, how bad has it really been? And government has been proven to be impotent to do anything about it. Furthermore, I am of the opinion that government ineptitude is to blame for much of the recent recession(s) and totally responsible for the inability to get back on the right track.

Dependency, sloth and emboldened self interests executed through government instead of the competitive marketplace of products and ideas is not something that is sustaining to any nation especially the USA. Hopefully, the "Change" offered by socialists as of late will lead Americans to see how unproductive and morally bankrupt socialism is or even the US's version of socialism and start to turn the ship back to the self reliant, competitive and dynamic place that is has been for many of its years. Otherwise, the nation is doomed to fail as will many of the Euro social democracies will.

State and local government pension plans are underfunded to the tune of $10,000 for each man, woman and child in the USA. This will have to met by taxes or reduced benefits to those that are promised these benefits.

This is dwarfed by obligations on the Federal level that are by definition underfunded since money is never set aside for these benefits or transfer payments. This underfunding totals around $100,000 for every man, woman and child in the US. And this is just for promised retirement benefits, nothing else such as defense, courts and the such on the national level or police, schools and garbage collection on the local level. Its a mess and these promises will never ever be met. Government has made huge promises that they will never be able to deliver. DO NOT trust the government.

Justification for seizing the product of your labor comes from socialists that want to distribute it to their friends and voters. Governments have killed and murdered 10's of millions of their citizens and those of other countries over the past century justified in all kinds of ways. This nonsense from the Obamessiah is just more of the same and I guarantee that this will result in anarchy and chaos.
