Federalism, Free Markets and the Liberty To Let One's Mind Wander. I Am Very Worried About the Fate of Liberty in the USA, Where Government is Taking people's Lives ____________________________________________________________________________________________ "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. vOTER FRAUD IS ALIVE AND WELL AND DRIVEN BY DEMOCRATS....
As of mid-January, Covered California was about halfway toward meeting its initial goal of signing up 1.3 million people for individual policies by the March 31 enrollment deadline. Lee said about three-quarters of consumers who had selected a plan have paid their first month's premium.
He said the exchange had been slammed with people wanting to enroll.
Okay. Volume has surprised them. However, after nearly 4 months with about a two months to go, they are only at half their goal. To me this implies that not as many as expected have signed up so, how could the volume therefore have surprised them?"The volume surprised all of us," he said.
Clueless and incapable....
Strachan, a current member of the Chief of the Defense Staff’s Strategic Advisory Panel, cited the “crazy” handling of the Syrian crisis as the most egregious example of a fundamental collapse in military planning that began in the aftermath of 9/11. “If anything it’s gone backwards instead of forwards, Obama seems to be almost chronically incapable of doing this. Bush may have had totally fanciful political objectives in terms of trying to fight a global War on Terror, which was inherently astrategic, but at least he had a clear sense of what he wanted to do in the world. Obama has no sense of what he wants to do in the world,” he said. And why would any of our allies go along with the child president that has no clue what to do?
“Obama has no sense of what he wants to do in the world.”
The dithering over intervention against President Bashar al-Assad has empowered the Syrian ruler, undermined America’s military reputation and destabilized the Middle East, said Strachan. “What he’s done in talking about Red Lines in relation to Syria has actually devalued the deterrent effect of American military capability and it seems to me that creates an unstable situation, because if he were act it would surprise everybody,” he said. “I think the other issue is that in starting and stopping with Assad, he’s left those who might be his natural allies in Syria with nowhere to go. He’s increased the likelihood that if there is a change of regime in Syria that it will be an Islamic fundamentalist one.”
Britain’s shock parliamentary vote against military action in Syria also exposed Prime Minister David Cameron’s lack of a clear strategy. “It absolutely illustrated the failure to think through the strategic implications of his own actions,” said Strachan.
The United States continues to slide on the Heritage Foundation's index of economic freedom falling to 12th place, behind Estonia. This is no surprise to me as the American central government continues to intervene in what used to be a free enterprise system that is now a centrally planned and effectively corporate fascist state. As economic liberty falls, so will incomes, employment and standards of living.
In his weekly address released on Saturday, January 4, President Obama had the audacity to slam Republicans for "going home for the holidays" and letting unemployment insurance benefits expire. The only problem is that Obama said this while still on his holiday vacation in Hawaii.Yikes. Who is this guy? Does he have a grasp on reality?
