How can an empty suit like the Obamessiah have a thin skin? Its because he IS an empty suit that he has a thin skin. No experience to fall back on for decision making and facing challenges. Therefore, he needs to protect himself by counterattacking. And, its as if its leadership to attack Fox News or is it just juvenile? Wow, if that is tough, what about Iran? Practice on Fox News as a warm-up to a real challenge? The Campaigner-in-Chief is totally worthless as a national leader. And what about comparisons with GWB?
...that while it truly didn't matter what anyone said about W, because he had such a firmly established core being, it matters utterly what the critics say about the UR's clothes, because there is no emperor. From here. And the whiners in the Whitehouse are so worried about what Fox News says about 'the one.'
Barack Obama may believe that his incessant whining about all the challenges his predecessor left him lets America know how tough he has it. The danger to his presidency is that it can sound awfully like "I'm not up to the job."Oh, poor Barry, he has it so tough as President. Lets all shed a tear for him. From here.
Whatever. He told them the attacks never bothered him, although his dad used to get upset: "He'd read the editorial pages, he'd watch the nightly news, and I didn't. I mean, why watch the nightly news when you are the nightly news?"Ha ha. And GWB has a sense of humor.
The elevator show.
The Senate majority leader uses government mysterious accounting methods to argue why Democrats completely ignored tort reform in the government takeover of healthcare.....
The Obamessiah with his amazing diplomatic skills, as indicated by his award of the Nobel Peace prize citing just these amazing diplomacy skills, is going to negotiate with a wildfire in California to get it from stop burning.....
Look forward to a new VAT tax that will propel taxes in the US into the highest echelons of socialist Europe.
Ha ha ha. Typical for Democrats to whine, complain and claim things are not "fair," this freezing our of FOX is not only juvenile, its dangerous. Imagine if George W. Bush or any other right-of-center President did the same thing considering that most of the traditional media is unapologetically left leaning, RoC politicians would have freeze out nearly all news organizations.
Dear Mrs. Samsel,
Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Sa msel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.
6.. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he would invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.
8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.
9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. September 20: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.
13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'
And last, but not least:
15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
After the stunning defeat of the President in his quest to secure the Olympics for Chicago, the Obamessiah has made a stunning comeback by winning the Nobel Prize for peace. Additionally, there is speculation that he is in the running for the following awards soon:
1. Heisman TrophyFrom here.
2. Rock-n-roll Hall of Fame
3. Motor Trend's "Car of the Year"
4. A Pulitzer prize for his yet unwritten memoirs on his first 200-or-so days in office
5. Cy Young baseball pitching award
5. NASCAR championship
5. Maybe he still has a chance at winning the World Series (my thoughts)
“Though it is disguised by the illusion that a bureaucracy accountable to a majority of voters, and susceptible to the pressure of organized minorities, is not exercising compulsion, it is evident that the more varied and comprehensive the regulation becomes, the more the state becomes a despotic power as against the individual. For the fragment of control over the government which he exercises through his vote is in no effective sense proportionate to the authority exercised over him by the government.“
-Walter Lippmann (found on pages 105-106 of Lippmann’s 1937 book The Good Society)-
North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il is the best golfer in the world, hands down. On his first ever trip to the golf course, he shot 38-under par, including 5 hole-in-ones! This is reported by the government controlled media. He routinely shoots 3 or 4 hole-in-ones every time out.I can just imagine what the state-run media (broadcast TV, New York Times, et al)in the US will be declaring as the Obamessiah's victories in diplomacy in the coming years.
Their is only one course in North Korea and it plays to about 7,700 yards, making Jong-il's feat even more impressive. 38-under par on a course longer than almost any in the US = NOT BAD!
Just for fun- it is also important to note that the N. Korean media also reports that Jong-il bowled a perfect game-300, on his first time out bowling!
At about 5'3" and wearing that crazy jump suit of his, this is all very impressive.
Wikipedia defines Affirmative action as such.....
The terms affirmative action and positive action refer to policies that take race, ethnicity, or gender into consideration in an attempt to promote equal opportunity or increase ethnic or other forms of diversity. The focus of such policies ranges from employment and education to public contracting and health programs. The impetus towards affirmative action is twofold: to maximize diversity in all levels of society, along with its presumed benefits, and to redress perceived disadvantages due to overt, institutional, or involuntary discrimination. Opponents argue that it promotes reverse discrimination. The highlighted text above is what I think is operative here. As we know, the anti-Bush, The Obamessiah, was awarded the Nobel Peace prize today presumably not due to some long list of accomplishments from a short 9 months in office but some other metric maybe one such as the oft repeated 'hope and change' moniker. But I think that it is kind of new affirmative action.
After political crusades for "affordable housing" ended up ruining the housing market and much of the economy with it, many of the same politicians are now carrying on a crusade for "affordable health care." But what you can afford has absolutely nothing to do with the cost of producing anything. Refusing to pay those costs means that you are just not going to continue getting the same quantity and quality-- regardless of what any politician says or how well he says it.
-Thomas Sowell, an American economist, social commentator, and author of dozens of books. He often writes from an economically laissez-faire perspective. He is currently a senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University-
Psychologists in Canada have revealed new research suggesting that people who become eco-conscious "green consumers" are "more likely to steal and lie" than others. From here. I do no think that this kind of psychological effect is limited to just consuming green products and those in the global warming movement. I think that it also extends to the altruism exhibited by Democrats where they think that that by creating all kinds of giveaways for people, that this gives them a license to cheat on other things such as their taxes, for example, as we have seen as of late with Charlie Rangel, Tim Geitner an Tom Dashel.
.....
"Buying products that claim to be made with low environmental impact can set up 'moral credentials' in people’s minds that give license to selfish or questionable behavior."
They include these findings:From here. In addition to being liars and cheaters, Democrats are selfish and Godless.
-- Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).
-- Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.
-- Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.
-- Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.
-- In the 10 reddest states, in which Bush got more than 60 percent majorities, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states, which gave Bush less than 40 percent, donated just 1.9 percent.
-- People who reject the idea that "government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality" give an average of four times more than people who accept that proposition.
Brooks demonstrates a correlation between charitable behavior and "the values that lie beneath" liberal and conservative labels. Two influences on charitable behavior are religion and attitudes about the proper role of government.
The single biggest predictor of someone's altruism, Willett says, is religion. It increasingly correlates with conservative political affiliations because, as Brooks' book says, "the percentage of self-described Democrats who say they have 'no religion' has more than quadrupled since the early 1970s." America is largely divided between religious givers and secular nongivers, and the former are disproportionately conservative. One demonstration that religion is a strong determinant of charitable behavior is that the least charitable cohort is a relatively small one -- secular conservatives.
Think about this...
An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student, but had once failed an entire class. There can be no better lesson than this.
The class (students) insisted that socialism worked since no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism."
"All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A."
After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who had studied hard were upset while the students who had studied very little were happy.
But, as the second test rolled around, the students who had studied little studied even less and the ones who had studied hard decided that since they couldn't make an A, they also studied less. The second Test average was a D.
No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average grade was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling, all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else.
To their great surprise all failed. The professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail because the harder people try to succeed the greater their reward (capitalism) but when a government takes all the reward away (socialism) no one will try or succeed.

From here. The graphic representation of the actual impact is can be seen below....
For the US, we find the impact multiplier is 0.64 and the long-run cumulative multiplier is 1.19. While these estimates are certainly closer to Romer’s than to Barro’s, they mask some important structural changes over the sample period. When estimating the multipliers for the pre-1980 period, we get considerably larger numbers than the post-1980 multipliers. The post-1980 multipliers are just 0.32 on impact and 0.4 in the long-run. This is certainly a far cry from the impact multiplier (1.05) and long-run multiplier (1.55) used in the Romer report.Who knows why this is the case? I suspect that it is difficult to 'fool' the markets with fiscal spending since essentially what is going on is that the government is taking from one group of people through taxes or borrowing and spending it on another group of people and not achieving anything.
ConclusionsIt just seems to make sense that it is difficult to get something going from nothing. Other things are impacted negatively to balance out the impacts of the short-term stimulus.
Our findings lead to the usual “it depends” answer to the size of the fiscal multiplier question. As those familiar with macroeconomic theory likely anticipated, the size of the fiscal multipliers critically depends on key characteristics of the economy (closed versus open, predetermined versus flexible exchange rate regimes, high versus low debt) or on the type of aggregate being considered (government consumption versus government investment). Policymakers would therefore be well-served in taking into account a given country’s characteristics in evaluating the benefits of any fiscal stimulus package.
The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.Democrats and Republicans too, think that government can design solutions to economic problems or better the lives of citizens. However, chances are that these economic problems are the result of previous government interventions that did not have the planned effects or even ended up with opposite results. As far as bettering the lives of it citizens, its a zero sum gain, government can only better the lives of some citizens while worsening the lives of others.
-F.A. Hayek, Austrian economist from his book, The Fatal Conceit-
Sen. Thomas Carper (D.-Del.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, told CNSNews.com that he does not “expect” to read the actual legislative language of the committee’s health care bill because it is “confusing” and that anyone who claims they are going to read it and understand it is fooling people. From here. Can't understand it? Then what are you voting on? Can one actually make an 'informed' decision on something that is incomprehensible?
“I don’t expect to actually read the legislative language because reading the legislative language is among the more confusing things I’ve ever read in my life,” Carper told CNSNews.com.

-Otto von Bismark-
Worshippers of government are shocked that the city where their messiah comes from, Chicago, is eliminated in the first round despite the laying on of hands by the Obamessiah in Denmark......
We have heard incessant bleating and whining by liberals that if one does not agree with the presently proposed Marxist healthcare and other plans offered and debated by Congress, we are told that opposition to this is nothing but racism against a black President. See, no one that is white is supposed to have an opinion since the President is black. Wow. OK, so STFU. We are all racists now. Its idiotic.
And in so doing they created a poisonous political environment that was interpreted by one right-wing Jewish nationalist as a license to kill Rabin — he must have heard, “God will be on your side” — and so he did.Oh really? So be nice. Was anyone worried about this when Bush was President? No. There was even a movie made about the assassination of President Bush (Death of a President) a few years back. Where was this clown Friedman when that was going on? As this thought sums it....
Most of us struggle with the temptation to employ double standards, to cloak political agendas in the language of moral concern and outrage. Some individuals do an admirable job resisting that temptation. Others, like Tom Friedman, do not. He would have a lot more credibility now if he had actually spoken out before. From here. Was the political left up in arms about the assassination movie or a host of other nasty things said about Bush. No. It was all chuckle chuckle. The difference between The Obamessiah and Bush is that Bush was willing to make decisions as unpopular as they were, stand behind those decisions and bear the consequences. Additionally, as I have written before, even my pacifist family member found it understandable that there is violence by the left against the right and this is acceptable. People like Friedman feel that it is necessary to use these weak moralist arguments to defend the Campaigner-in-chief from natural political arguments since maybe he is actually a complete and total wimp that cannot handle the nastiness. I do not believe that the Obamessiah is a wimp but clowns like Friedman that feel it is necessary to defend him using these tactics will further eviscerate this fellow. Although I do not think that he is even remotely worthy of the position of President, apparently the left thinks the same thing since they feel compelled to defend him using the silliest of methods. So Liberals have to wander around worrying that someone is going to assassinate this President in addition to all white folks being racists. Ack.
1. The Presidency is not a cult of personally. If one is killed so what? A tragedy but no the end of the worldAnd as far as nastiness is concerned, remember these words of wisdom from me.....
2. Americans should not be subject to squashing of dissent even if it is nasty. Nastiness is not violence.
3. The nastiness is not only by the political right. There is a nastiness that seems to be acceptable by left that is perpetrated against those that do not agree them. So it cuts both ways. "If it was acceptable before, presumably it should be acceptable now.
Nastiness is never nice. If nastiness was nice, it wouldn't be nasty but nice.
