Chokolat Iz Berry Berry Good Fur U.....

Chocolate is good for you according to the Dutch...
Men who consumed the most cocoa had a 50 percent lower risk of dying from disease compared with those who did not eat cocoa, researchers in the Netherlands said yesterday.
Cocoa is known to lower blood pressure, though previous studies have disagreed about whether it prevents heart disease over the long-term, particularly because it is contained in foods high in fat, sugar and calories.

Australian researchers have discovered a natural mosquito repellent in the smelly secretions of green tree frogs.
This explains a lot about the bathing habits of the French.

Even The Vatican Tired Of Childish And Murderous Muslim Antics...

The Vatican is now shifting away from support of Muslim demands to respect their religion since Muslims are doing little to respect other's religions or lives.
After backing calls by Muslims for respect for their religion in the Mohammad cartoons row, the Vatican is now urging Islamic countries to reciprocate by showing more tolerance toward their Christian minorities.

Roman Catholic leaders at first said Muslims were right to be outraged when Western newspapers reprinted Danish caricatures of the Prophet, including one with a bomb in his turban. Most Muslims consider any images of Mohammad to be blasphemous.

After criticizing both the cartoons and the violent protests in Muslim countries that followed, the Vatican this week linked the issue to its long-standing concern that the rights of other faiths are limited, sometimes severely, in Muslim countries.

Vatican prelates have been concerned by recent killings of two Catholic priests in Turkey and Nigeria. Turkish media linked the death there to the cartoons row. At least 146 Christians and Muslims have died in five days of religious riots in Nigeria.
The 1.3 billion strong Muslim world feels no human responsibility for anything other than their own narrow beliefs or desires. We will have a horrible conflict with them one day unless they learn to cope with the rest of the world.

Headline of the Day.....

Arab Americans see bigotry behind ports uproar
No shit!

Some innocuous cartoons are posted in some obscure Danish newspaper and the whole Muslim world goes berserk burning and killing Christians indiscriminately. At Friday services, worshippers chant "Death to Denmark. Death to America." Iran wants to build a nuclear bomb and "Wipe Israel off the face of the map."

What the hell do you people expect? Unfortunately, the burden of proof is on the Muslim that he won't try to destroy the United States not the other way around. Muslims are proving that they are a bunch of savages.

The Sickness Called Iran....

As I have written about many times before, I think that there will be a major conflict with the nation of Iran soon. And they have similar thoughts or actually want to provoke that fight.
Iran's hard-line Islamic spiritual leaders have issued an unprecedented fatwa, or holy order, approving the use of atomic weapons against the country's enemies.

Muslim clerics for the first time have questioned the theocracy's traditional viewpoint that Shariah law forbids the use of nuclear weapons......

The pronouncement was issued by Mohsen Gharavian, a disciple of the extremely hard-line Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah-Yazdi, widely regarded as the cleric closest to Iran's new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
In the sick deathcult world of Islam, they are preparing to self incinerate in a nuclear holocaust....
Moreover, his comments appear to be an attempt by Iran's Islamic hard-liners to begin preparing a theological justification for owning and, if necessary in their view, using atomic bombs.
We all know that Iran wants and will use a nuclear bomb against Israel who will then retaliate with fearsome force against their Iranian enemies. Weather forecast in Tehran sometime in the near future...
Bright and 30,000,000 degrees. Tomorrow cloudy.

Backyard Poultry Farms Banned in Hong Kong Probably A Good Idea.....

Recent legislation banned raising live chickens in Hong Konger's backyards is probably a good idea, although, not without its detractors.
The ban, which closed a loophole allowing households to own unregulated up to 20 live poultry, was proposed after it was revealed that people near the border were smuggling live chickens into Hong Kong from the mainland. At least one was found to have died from H5N1 last month.
The ban seems like a good idea since keeping these birds among the population may not be in the best interest of Hong Kongers health in light of the potential for disaster surrounding the H5N1 bird flu worries.

And keeping chickens is not as easy as some city slickers may imagine. This backyard poultry ban reminds me of when I was living in the Ivory Coast. My family had returned to Hong Kong due to the increasingly dangerous living conditions that eventually descended into an all-out civil war. I was lonely and decided that I wanted to keep two chickens in the yard as pets. I fancied the idea of seeing them strutting around my tropical garden and yard while I enjoyed my breakfast and dinner on my patio.

However, the dream was faced with the hard realities of the animal kingdom. The birds ended up flying away outside of the compound the first evening and it took a couple of days for my staff to locate the birds, round them up and clip their wings. Its ends up that chickens roost earlier than I knew and were already sleeping by late afternoon, before I arrived back home for my dinner. Additionally, early to bed, early to rise birds make an awful racket at 4:30 am, depriving me of my much needed beauty rest.

Undetered, I blocked access to the backyard for the birds so that my sleep could continue. But they then found their way into the living room of my villa and fouled my belongings with their droppings. After blocking access with more cardboard to my livingroom, they decided that they wanted to hangout under my patio table, scaring the bejesus out of me when I sat down and they reacted unfriendly to me. The fouling under my breakfast and dinner table with their feces and urine was more than I had bargained for. So, I invited my friends over for a BBQ and we enjoyed my pets for one last time. They were tasty but somewhat skinny. I got a cat instead, which I did not eat despite its early morning howling. But the cat used to see me off to work every morning and wait for my return at night. The cat, named Coulibali, now happily resides in upstate New York at my sister house.

Truth In Labeling, Thai Style....

On a recent family excursion to Thailand, I took a picture of my hat with my alma-mater prominately displayed on the back. The thing that amused me wearing a University of Buffalo hat is that buffaloes play an important role in Thai life and culture.

The buffalo, back on the family farm, is the beast of burden that assists in the back-breaking work and has always played a significant role in Thai agriculture. However, Buffalo also has another connotation for the bargirls in Thailand's famous sex trade. The death of the family buffalo must be one of the most worrisome events in an agricultural Thai family's life and Thai prostitutes and internet scam artists use "the death of their family's buffalo" to pry money out of love-lorn men.

As the most amusing Mango Sauce website tells us,
These couplings are often genuine love affairs but the girl won't throw away her address book and she certainly won't ditch the love-sick farang buffaloes sending her money each month.
This somewhat confusing paragraph is what I enjoyed so much with Mango Sauce. Apparently, the Thai bar-girl slang for their love-sick clientele that send them money each month from Hamburg, London, Chicago, etc. is 'buffalo'. The family work horse without which the Thai farmer family would be unable to survive. So, the farang buffalo is the same thing. The stupid beast that works the fields to do the heavy work so that these gals can survive. Its just such poetic beauty.

The Violent Palestinian Political Party Wins, But There Is A Major Fashion Faux Pas....

Recent news of the win of terrorist organization Hamas in the Palestinian elections is actually quite amusing for us sinophiles. Little do the smiling murderous men know that they are making 1.3 billion people around the world giggle everytime that they see them. Those murderous smiling men running around wearing their green hats reminds us of the meaning of green hats here.
A cuckold is a person with a sexually unfaithful partner, typically a married man.

In its usual meaning a cuckold is a victim of his wife's adultery.

There are connotations of helplessness and humiliation attributed to the word: implications that the husband lacks the strength to enforce the fidelity due to a man, and too weak or henpecked to leave or divorce her. Although historically it was a term used socially, when a man's wife gave birth to a child not his, nowadays it is more commonly associated with sexuality, and especially power exchange, sexual humiliation and erotic sexual denial.

The Chinese term for "cuckold" translates as "wearing a green hat".
So there you have it, the smiling men, wearing the green hats are cuckolds. Hahaha.

I Have Decided To Worship The Sun.....

Oh sun, how bright you are to me and how you show me the way during my days. Without you, I would never be able to survive.

So, I will kill anyone that uses the sun in a cartoon, maybe even behead them. I will burn down any embassy of any country whose newspapers dare to depict the sun in their pages. Any depiction of the sun, or use of light, even shadows will offend me so I have the right to run rampant like a fool.

From Blokbuster....

Spineless American media outlets are not showing the pictures of the Muhammad cartoons potentially leading customers to not truly understanding the facts of the fuss. Again American media is not doing their job of giving us the news and letting us decide.

CNN pixilated the cartoons that set off a world wide Muslim temper tantrum. If the cartoons are a distortion of Muhammad then CNN has distorted a distortion. Guess we'll never know what all the fuss was about.

Most of the mainstream media in the U.S., other than Fox News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the New York Sun, took a pass on showing the cartoons. Editor and Publisher has a story on the media refusal to publish the cartoons.

It seems little arrogant for a religion to demand that the whole world play by its rules. And a little wimpy for most of the American media to go along with it.

Christopher Hitchens considers the incident proof of "an aggressive intent".
Muslims are acting like animals, by rioting, threatening and destroying. All of this over a few cartoons that any sensible person, if they had a look at them, would think are fairly innocuous. What is particularly disturbing to me, is that people have told me that the Danes made a mistake printing the cartoons but admitted that they had not even seen cartoons when I asked where they had seen them. The American media again fails us horribly.

The Queen Of Denmark.....

Showing some spine against the crazy Muslims...
She said: "We are being challenged by Islam these years - globally as well as locally. It is a challenge we have to take seriously. We have let this issue float about for too long because we are tolerant and lazy.

"We have to show our opposition to Islam and we have to, at times, run the risk of having unflattering labels placed on us because there are some things for which we should display no tolerance."

"And when we are tolerant, we must know whether it is because of convenience or conviction."
And for you that know a little history of the Danish people and their pursuit of right. Occupied by the Nazis in 1940 assisted in the spiriting out of Jewish countrymen...
During an interview with Lesley Pearl, The Jewish Bulletin of Northern California, in 1995 he emphasized that the Danish Jews were considered neighbors, friends, schoolmates and nothing else.

"This is our history. We have no scapegoats. No pogroms. No Holocaust. It's so simple," Munch-Nielsen said. "We didn't recognize Jews as Jews, but as Danes," he added. "They were victims of an insane movement created by lunatics," Preben Munch-Nielsen said.

"If you wanted to retain your self-respect, you did what you could .."

What You Can Do With Your Slave Girl....

I was curious what I could do with a slave girl and Islam outlines the rules and regulations surrounding the ownership of a slave-girl [From the website Ask an Imam]...
Islam ensured that the slave girl's duties were not restricted merely to domestic chores but also gave her master permission to copulate with her. This concession created an atmosphere of love and harmony between the slave girl and her master. Islam thereby raised the status of the war captive-maidens close to that of wives. It was a psychological cure to her grief-stricken heart, being deprived of her family and thrown into the hands of a strange society.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) enjoined his followers to treat the slaves kindly, gently, and, above all, to regard them as members of the family. In this way, they were made to feel wanted; which was far better than treating them as outcasts and leaving them to wander the streets of a strange society in a penniless, destitute condition. Such treatment would have ultimately forced them to take up evil occupations such as prostitution in the case of slave woman in order to fill their hungry stomachs. The First World War in 1914 was a clear reflection of the evils involved in setting captive women free to roars about in a strange society with strange surroundings. During that war, German and English women prisoners on either side were set free to roam the streets with no-one to feed them. The result was obvious that they resorted to other unrefined and uncivilized methods of income on the streets. Thus, it is evident that the Islamic treatment of women prisoners of war was conducive towards better social relations and led to the refinement of their overall social lives.
See Islam is helping these slave girls that have been devastated by war and by allowing their masters to copulate with them, they will feel better. Islam is so compationate when it comes to these things! And things would have been so much better if the Turks during WWI did not release their German and English prisoner woman and copulated with them since they all ending up turning tricks on the street. Those evil Western women! I bet you did not know that!!!!!!

However, for all of you Hong Kongers, your Filipino or Indonesian maid cannot be considered a slave-girl despite some of the populace treating them as such. This ONLY applies to those slave-girls captured in war. Besides, most of you here are not Muslim anyway. And no, you cannot convert just so you can copulate with your helper.

New Muslim 10 Commandments....

Reportedly directly from him....
1.Thou shall not have westophobia. The west is not plotting against Islam, they don’t give a hoot about your religion nor the religion of this old Hindu man walking in downtown Calcutta, India. The West is busy with far more important things.

2.Thou shall remember that millions of Muslims in Europe have far more rights than non-Muslims in Arab/Muslim lands (for more info, contact the Christian villagers of el-Udaysaat) So quit playing the victim here. I simply don’t buy it.

3.Thou shall understand that the West is a pool of ideas and people. In the west you will find: Non-muslims who love Islam (Karen Armstrong and Prince Charles), non-Muslims who hate Islam (J-Posten and Oriana Fallaci), converts to Islam who love Islam (Murad Huffman, Roge Garoudi), converts out of Islam who hate Islam (Hirshi Ali and Ibn Warraq). So for heaven’s sake, you can’t paint the West with one brush.

4.Thou shall understand that the West gets their info on Islam not from your preaching nor from the books you translate to them but from your actions.

5.Thou shall riot and protest when Muslims kill other Muslims (for more info, contact the Shia families of Iraq and Darfur Sudanese)

6.Thou shall try to riot and protest when Muslims kill non-Muslims. If that’s not possible, at least try to do commandment 5.

7.Thou shall NOT riot over cartoons published 4 months ago. Try to riot over cartoons published 2 months ago. At least it might make more sense that way.

8.Thou shall not boycott an entire nation because a single newspaper, TV channel, radio station, politician, actor, actress, etc, etc, in that nation said or wrote or drew something that offended you. Why? Because its stupid and childish to do so and it further hurts your image.

9.Thou shall incorporate the values of liberal democracy. The Catholics of Italy, the Anglicans of England, the Buddhists of Korea, and the Shintos of Japan have done so. I don’t see a reason why you can’t do so as well.

10.Your leaders should know that what was OK in the year 706 might not be OK in the year 2006. I won’t get upset if you changed a few things in the laws and regulations as long as you continue to profess faith in me, pray to me, fast during Ramadan, give alms, and perform Hajj if you’re capable of doing so.

Bogus Rights....

Getting away from the silly Muslim cartoon insanity, and Iran's incredibly belligerent dangerous posturing, its time to get back to something truly important.

Bogus rights like the "right" to medical care and housing, etc. have always bothered me. Why being born an American does one have the right to anything other than life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? People around the globe are born into unequal economies and therefore get unequal benefits but what drives one to think that being born in the United States somehow gives one these "rights?" The problem is that we actually do not have these rights.
Do people have a right to medical treatment whether or not they can pay? What about a right to food or decent housing? Would a U.S. Supreme Court justice hold that these are rights just like those enumerated in our Bill of Rights? In order to have any hope of coherently answering these questions, we have to decide what is a right. The way our Constitution's framers used the term, a right is something that exists simultaneously among people and imposes no obligation on another. For example, the right to free speech, or freedom to travel, is something we all simultaneously possess. My right to free speech or freedom to travel imposes no obligation upon another except that of non-interference. In other words, my exercising my right to speech or travel requires absolutely nothing from you and in no way diminishes any of your rights.

Contrast that vision of a right to so-called rights to medical care, food or decent housing, independent of whether a person can pay. Those are not rights in the sense that free speech and freedom of travel are rights. If it is said that a person has rights to medical care, food and housing, and has no means of paying, how does he enjoy them?
Creating these "rights" has created an environment of entitlement. People grow up thinking that they deserve this largesse and someone owes it to them. They even get angry when they don't get their handout or if it come a little bit too slow for their liking. Between 60-70% of all US government federal spending are transfers of wealth from one individual to another. Why do we choose to live in an environment like that?

Muslim Outrage....

Muslims should be more outraged....
Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.

Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage.

A Muslim attacks a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage.

Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.

Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.

Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.

Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are outraged.
In the name of Islam Muslims kill? So therefore they do not feel compelled to protest or elimate the murderers in their midst? they are the ones that disrespect Muhammed.

If One Thinks That I Am Being Harsh On Muslims, You Are Right, They Deserve It....

The South Park depiction of Muhammad. There has been a long history of the use of Muhammad images. Some of them can be found here in Islamic texts and here with his face hidden.

But I feel very strongly that Muslims are not only overreacting to the recently contrived Muhammad cartoon controversy but are showing their true colors of over-the-top intolerance, ignorance and heavy handed violence. The violence in particular is troubling since it shows a lack of intellectual understanding of even their own religion.

Such cartoons as the following one, one of the 12 cartoons printed in Denmark, cannot be construed or interpreted to be in bad taste, vulgar or even disrespectful...

So what is the problem? Maybe it is this cartoon that is upsetting Muslims...

But I think that this one is fairly mild as far as cartoons go. The message in the cartoon is that Islam is being used by terrorists and this cannot be denied. Terrorists wrap themselves up in the Muslim religion to justify incredibly heinous acts of violence and death. By Muslims protesting this kind of picture, they are attempting to distance themselves from the reality of Islamic terrorism without dealing with it in a adult manner. These cartoons reflect how the artists and many in the modern world see Islam. This should actually be a wake-up call to Muslims everywhere that their culture is sliding into a violent and anarchic movement that promises to end in further deadly conflict.

Even somewhat moderate Islamic voices cannot come to grips with the ties between the deathcult of political Islam and the defensible religion of Islam. They are instead framing the issue as a clash between freedom of speech and derogatory depictions of a religious figure.
The cartoon controversy is spiraling out of control around the world as a fight between freedom of speech vs. derogatory depictions of a prophet. Some Muslims unfortunately have resorted to violence and destruction of property. This is un-Islamic and must be condemned.
While we can argue about the merits of freedom of speech vs. responsible journalism, and peaceful vs. violent protests, lost in this debate is the persona of the individual who has been insulted and depicted in a most vulgar way.
The problem with the above quote is that Muhammad really has not been depicted in a vulgar way. Come on that argument is just silliness. Maybe in a narrowly defined Muslim world it is vulgar to depict Muhammad in any other way than a flattering light. But the real problem is that fellow Muslims are staining Muhammad using violence death and destruction and are themselves defiling Islam and therefore Muhammad. So we therefore, have the right and obligation to make this connection and have defined it as such. It is the Muslim and Islam that then has to right the wrongs perpetrated within their own society.

People of the Muslim faith should not be allowed to hide behind the "love" of Muhammad to avoid facing their responsibilities as people inhabiting the same earth that we do. And when their ideals are questioned, these people react in a juvenile and inhuman manner. Why?
When their ultimate goal becomes an object of vilification and ridicule, some feel that their very existence is being called into question, and to them nothing in life becomes more important than protecting this ideal.
So, even this writer is saying that the violence and horrible actions of some Muslims are leading to these unflattering depictions and that Muslims "some feel that their very existence is being called into question" are reacting to this. But they are reacting to the symptom of a disease and are not fighting the disease itself. The sickness resides in their own midst and until they realize that they alone can control this, we will continue to have this useless conflict. Additionally, it is important that the West does not adjust now and continues to portray the situation as we see it. Its for everyone's own good.

And I think that lots can be learned from Islam. The teachings are very similar to Christianity and Judaism.
We can all benefit from the Koran verse that says: "Goodness and evil cannot be equal. Repel (evil) with something that is better. Then you will see that he with whom you had enmity will become your close friend. And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint." (Koran 41:34-35)
Muslims should learn from their own religion as to how to deal with the modern world and other people. Is they think that this is vulgar or evil then "repel" it with something that is better. Teh Koran urges patience and self-restraint in this passage and it appears as if many Muslims, those that riot, burn property and threaten death do not follow these teachings. And until Muslims actually follow their prophets own teachings, we can expect to have further conflicts and clashes with these people.

Muslims....

Muslims cause murder and mayhem around the globe for a couple of decades and few if any Muslims say anything. Draw a picture of a guy that died 1300 years ago and these clowns go ballistic. Idiots.

Muslim Man Complaint Box....

Just a few examples for your reading pleasure...
Dear Muslim Man Complaint Box, I saw on the TV that there is a show now with a woman host. This is not very bad by itself because the woman was dressed in accordance with the laws of Islam and did not expose herself and inflame the lust of any male guests. However, this woman was having a talk with guests and things got a bit out of control when the woman host said "no, I don't think so" to one of the guests. I was so mad I told my wife to drown herself in the bathtub while I finished watching the show. Then, later in the show, the host says "you are wrong" to a doctor! I could not believe it!

Please see if you could beat this woman with a chain and I thank you in advance.

Inshallah Muslim Man Complaint Box,
My child was drawing pictures for school and this is forbidden. What makes the situation worse is that the picture was of our whole family and also blessed Mohammad. It was not a very clear picture of Mohammad and I think his likeness would be considered obscured by the scriptures. Just to be sure I hanged my son and burned his body and then my brothers burned the school and also hanged the teacher. What I want to know is what can be done about the ability to draw? Any child can go about creating blasphemous rendering of Mohammad! This is lightning in the hands of the unprotected. My son is in the afterlife now because of these crayons and "construction" paper, which I say is "destruction" paper. That is a little joke, but I am not laughing. Something must be done.

Muhammad The Idol...

In case some us [me included] are somewhat confused about the Danish cartoon mess, that the protests center on....
Islamic law is interpreted to forbid any depictions of the Prophet Muhammad for fear they could lead to idolatry.
The sorry ass thing here is that is exactly what is going on. It IS idolatry that is leading the Muslims to riot. Muhammad, the idol for Muslims. Muhammad founded the religion in a period of time in Saudi Arabian history when religion was centered on the worshipping of idols. He despised the idol based religions. Stupid fucks.

Over-the-top Muslim Reaction....

I am not at all surprised by the first paragraph of this story....
Muslim rage over caricatures of the prophet Muhammad grew increasingly violent Sunday as thousands of rampaging protesters — undaunted by tear gas and water cannons — torched the Danish mission and ransacked a Christian neighborhood. At least one person reportedly died and about 200 were detained, officials said.
The reaction is violent, they also attacked Christians and people are starting to die. Muslims have become or were always a violent bunch of people. They are just a bunch of uncivilized wild animals. Its just so sad and so juvenile.

My Word Cloud....

The Trap....

As Michelle Malkin points out...
Lost Budgie points to an interesting admission in today's Globe and Mail:
"The protests in the Middle East have proven that the cartoonist was right,” said Tarek Fatah, a director of the Muslim Canadian Congress. "It's falling straight into that trap of being depicted as a violent people and proving the point that, yes, we are."
A "trap?"
Someone I knew always said to me when I got upset, that anger and violence is the result of the failure of intellect. Muslims are just being stupid, again. Get a life, people.

Your mere existance probably insults Islam. And more general death threats for your Saturday enjoyment.

Muslim Cartoon Debate Is Just Pure Silliness....

The debate surrounding the Danish cartoons is not unique to Islam. There have been situations upsetting to Christians such as Andres Serrano's photographs of the "Piss Christ" where a crucifix was submerged into the artist's urine and blood.

There were protests and incidents where the photograph was attacked.
two teenagers, aged 18 and 16, were to have considerably more success in their endevour. In an orchestrated attack it was reported one teenager acted as a decoy, kicking a print on the opposite wall which distracted the guards who rushed to subdue him while the other smashed Piss Christ about 8 times with a hammer. When the guards overpowered the perpetrator the hammer fell and struck a security guard on the knee.

A witness is quoted describing the event "Suddenly there was this bang. I looked around and there was this guy kicking one of the photographs, I think the Klu Klux Klan one . . . everyone's attention was to that and the security guard started to move in and suddenly we heard all these other noises, bangs. I thought it was a gun, and we all froze. Then I saw this person and I suddenly thought: `There is a person with a hammer bashing this picture' . . . people just froze, there was stunned silence."3 The exhibition was thereafter shortly closed.
Of course there was lots of controversy surrounding the picture. But no one was killed. It was debated politically and in the press as it whould be in a civilized world. There were debates on what is appropriate and what is vulgar but this definition changes over time....
refinement is out and vulgarity is in. Long gone are the Victorian days, when piano legs were skirted so as not to offend the sensitive. During the 1940s, the following joke about Pres. Harry S. Truman was considered risque. Giving a lecture to a women's garden club, he advised the audience to mix the dirt with lots of fresh manure. After the talk was over, a woman came up to his wife, Bess, and said, "I wish he would have used the word, `fertilizer.' "To which Mrs. Truman replied, "Heck, it took me 20 years to get him to say, `manure.'"

Like vulgarity itself, the meaning of the word has changed through the years. Originally, it referred to the lives of the common people. For instance, in Rome, vulgar signified the ordinary language of Latin as spoken or written by the masses, differing from the magnificent literary Latin of, say, Cicero or Virgil. Today, its primary dictionary meaning runs the gamut from "coarse to indecent." Further, "it refers to that which is banal and characterized by ignorance or lack of breeding." That says it all, but pretty soon its definition will have to be revised to something like "an expression of pop culture."
I have to say, that the cartoons, as I see them, may be insensitive to Muslims but so what. That's life. They are the ones that have to come to grips with the fact that we live in the 21st century and not the 7th. They have the duty to project Islam as an acceptable religion and not us.

But the issue that I have with the controversy is that the inflamed passions of Muslims cause them to say that they want to kill people over this. Its just so juvenile and not very endearing to the "religion of peace." Of course the Muslim reaction is to kill KILL KILL....
He said he has received 15 death threats and over a 1,000 hate letters since publishing the cartoon - all from the Middle East.

Death threats were also made against the editor of Jyllands-Posten after he printed the originals last year. Some of the cartoonists went into hiding.
Remember Salman Rushdie? They wanted to kill KILL KILL him too after his book Satanic Verses.
On February 14, 1989, a fatwa requiring Rushdie's execution was proclaimed on Radio Tehran by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran, calling the book "blasphemous against Islam." As the novel also suggested that Rushdie no longer believed in Islam, Khomeini also condemned him for apostasy, which according to the Hadith is punishable by death. Khomeini indicated that it was the responsibility of all "zealous Muslims" to execute Rushdie and the publishers who were aware of its concepts:
In the name of God Almighty. There is only one God, to whom we shall all return. I would like to inform all intrepid Muslims in the world that the author of the book entitled The Satanic Verses, which has been compiled, printed, and published in opposition to Islam, the Prophet, and the Qur’an, as well as those publishers who were aware of its contents, have been sentenced to death. I call on all zealous Muslims to execute them quickly, wherever they find them, so that no one will dare insult the Islamic sanctities. Whoever is killed on this path will be regarded as a martyr, God willing. In addition, anyone who has access to the author of the book, but does not possess the power to execute him, should refer him to the people so that he may be punished for his actions. May God's blessing be on you all. Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini.
On February 24 1989, Khomeini offered a U.S.$ 3 million bounty for the death of Rushdie, who was then forced to live for a time under British-financed security.
In this case, the Shia head of the sovereign nation, Iran, a man of religion heading the religion of peace in that country, called for and offered a reward for the execution of the writer. How weak is a religion that has to kill its critics? These are the kind of people that we are facing today. Where it is acceptable to saw the heads off of little girls but unacceptable to write or draw pictures of their idols. Idolatry is actually what Mohammed fought against that created the religion more than a millennium ago. But this subject is for another post.

But back to the cartoons, the reason that the cartoons exist at all is that an author was having difficulty obtaining illustrations for a children's book that he was writing on the life of Mohammed. Apparently illustrators were fearful that by illustrating the book that they too may become targets for the frothing at the mouth crazed jihadi Muslim.
From the BBC: cartoonists for a Danish newspaper have received death threats for drawing cartoons of Mohammed. The newspaper Jyllands-Posten urged cartoonists to send in drawings of the prophet after an author had complained that nobody dared illustrate his book on Mohammed.
See the reason that the cartoons exist at all is that people are afraid of becoming targets of these religious fanatics. These cartoons reflect their actual experience with Islam. I feel that the Danes have done us all a service by exposing these cartoons and making it an issue now for the world to see the reaction.

The debate rages in the letters-to-the-editor pages in English language Arab newspapers but I think this guys frames the issue the way that I see it....
Burden of free speech
By any measure, Denmark has long been one of the freest, most open and tolerant societies in the world. In democratic countries, free speech also applies to religion. Unfortunately, one of the burdens of free speech is that feelings and sensibilities are sometimes hurt. But if Muslims are so convinced that they are right in their religious beliefs, how does it matter what others think or say? It is a fact that Muslims have freedom of speech and religion in Denmark and other democracies. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for non-Muslims living in some Islamic countries.
From Mr R. Postnikoff
Al Ain
Thankfully, the debate is also raging in souless Europe where the freedom of speech has actually been curbed for years in favor of politically correct speech. Hopefully this will alert the spineless Europeans that the enemy that we face in the coming decades is a brutal and heartless one and join us in the fight.

An interesting article on the decline in free speech in Europe can be found here. But in the upside down world of European politics and free speech, the title of this piece caught my eye...
Muslim Radical Defends Freedom of Speech, Deplores Europe's Hypocrisy
But the money quote is here.
But he asks a question one should ponder: Is it possible to defend freedom of speech if one does not restore "absolute freedom of speech altogether?" As the great 20th century American journalist H.L. Mencken (who by the way was very critical of religion) said:
"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all."

I Usually Eat Stilton....

But tomorrow, I think that I will make a bee-line down to the local Park and Shop and buy some Danish blue chesse. I find it a little too strong for my tastes and prefer the more subtle English stilton. But I figure that I should support my Danish brothers any way that I can!

Muslims Don't Understand The Meaning Of God And Humanity...

I ate some Danish butter cookies today. You know the ones that come in the blue tin. They are very popular during Chinese New Year here in Hong Kong.

This quote from an AFP article speaks volumes to me how juvenile Muslims are...
In Jerusalem thousands of angry worshippers demonstrated in the Al-Aqsa mosque compound, shouting: "Condemnations are not enough, you have to reply with fire."
The words that struck me were "angry worshippers." Of course, the worshippers in Jerusalem were probably Palestinians who have proven to be amongst the most hateful and destructive peoples on the planet.

But one question I have is how can one pray and worship God while angry? Maybe the Koran has the answer here:
Surah 13:14...
For the prayer of those
Without faith is nothing
But (futile) wandering (in the mind)
How can one pray when angry? Does God really want death and destruction? My God doesn't but apparently the God that many Muslims believe in does.

I think that Islam's worst enemy on the planet today are the Muslims themselves. People that have not learned to be human and do not understand the concept of God. These people speak of peace but have no desire to live in it.

And so what are these clown angry about today, enough so to make fools of themselves infront of the world and threaten to kill KILL KILL people as a result?

One of the offending cartoons...

The rest here.

Of course, some people think that these doodlings are a grave injustice. But it is not injustice...maybe stupid but not an injustice. The mockery in the cartoons and the questioning of a religion's place in society is humanity's prerogative to challenge. This is something that all religions have had to tolerate. But religions have the duty to answer to people and adapt and to fit in, not to explode everytime there is adversity. The cartoons may be in bad taste, and if they are then moderate voices can work out the issues and thereby strengthening the ties between societies and increase cross-cultural understanding. But it seems as if Islam just cannot cope with others or even itself these days. It is just such a brittle and tightly wound bunch of people that one just doesn't know what will set off these wild eyed fanatics next. Besides, is the religion so weak that it cannot tolerate something so mundane as a dozen silly cartoons?

Today, Muslim fanatics attacked the Danish Embassy in Jakarta in protest...
Hardline Indonesian Muslims have stormed into an office block housing the Danish embassy, protesting cartoons portraying the Prophet Mohammad published in Denmark, as others demanded death for the cartoonist.
Of course, their answer to any situation is to kill KILL KILL "the offenders."

But, one didn't hear much from these same Muslims or people that were so upset that they are throwing rocks in the street when, in the name of God, frothing at the mouth Muslim fanatics behead little teenage Christian school girls in Indonesia a short while back [Found through Flagrant Harbor]...

I didn't hear anyone apologize for the beheading of these innocent school girls. They did not just kill some innocent people, but sawed the heads off of children. What kind of religion advocates that kind of behavior? And also tolerates this kind of behavior? I guess that Islam does. The dirty killings were swept under the carpets, without shame, while Muslim provocateurs awaited the next inspired outrage. This completely uncivilized and grisly behavior did not receive the pan-Islamic coverage of outrage that is sweeping the Muslim world over the dozen or so offending cartoons. And remember that silliness over the Koran handling in the terrorist rpison in Cuba? Gadzooks, these people amaze me!

Remember, these fanatics want to kill you and would just love to kill your children, too. They are just looking for excuses to do so. Like we are supposed to understand what is so upsetting to these juvenile Muslim clowns that they have the right to rampage and retaliate everytime some kind of perceived slight happens? Its just so weak. These Muslim people are not the children of God but the children of Satan.

Why would any sensible person respect Islam? I just don't know. They don't repect themselves or other humans so why should anyone respect them? As long as these people behave like animals, then they can expect that we will portray them like they are; Grisly cold blooded killers.

I do not see how we can avoid a major conflict and bloodshed with these people. We have to be prepared for that possibility.

In conclusion, I think that what Thomas Paine said over 200 years ago is just as relevant to us today. We have to fight to maintain our liberty and if it means meeting a hateful intolerant and potentially lethal enemy head-on, then so be it.... "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country. . . . We fight not to enslave, but to set a country free, and to make room upon the earth for honest men to live in." Thomas Paine, "The American Crisis," 1776-1777

There is room for honest people to live together peacefully in the world today, but it appears as if Muslims have no desire to live peacefully.

More Stupid Muslim Shit...

I am winding up big time on this Muslim over-reaction to the political cartoons published in Denmark. Since I have been in Thailand over the past week, I haven't been able to enjoy the whole idiot mess over this thing. Muslims are such babies and the religion must be so weak that they cannot tolerate any dissent or comments on atrocities committed in its name. Idiots, they don't deserve any of our respect.

Golf...

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands free speaker-function and begins to speak. - Everyone else in the room stops to listen.

MAN: "Hello"

WOMAN: "Honey, it's me!? Are you at the club?"

MAN: "Yes"

WOMAN: "I'm at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat.? It's only $1,000 - Is it OK if I buy it?"

MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much."

WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2006 models and I saw one I really liked."

MAN: "How much?"

WOMAN: "Only $65,000"

MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."

WOMAN: "Great!? Oh, and one more thing, the house we wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $950,000."

MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make them an offer, but just offer $900,000."

WOMAN: "OK.? I'll see you later!? I love you!"

MAN: "Bye, I love you, too." The man hangs up.

The other men in the locker room are looking at him in astonishment. Then he smiles and asks, - "Does anyone know whose phone this is?
